Birthdays and Binkies

It's Brooklyne's birthday! And of course we had a CARS party, that's her favorite! It was relaly fun getting cars stuff, espcially for all girls, I thought it was cute.

Some binoculars she got at her party, of course she doesn't know which way they are to be used......

Ka-Chow! Daddy got her the pajamas she had been wanting for a long time now... guess who was on them!! Anyway, in doing so, we threw away the binky for good last nite. So, no more pacifier! It was a bit rought getting her to fall asleep, but she slept jsut fien after that (of course she did wake up earlier than normal too...) Well, it doesn't matte,r it's gone and we'll deal with whatever happens!

Scrapbooking

I've been plugging away at Tristan's scrapbooks. I'd like to be able to get it all done before I forget about all that has happened. Yeah, I'm well on my way.... 16 pages down and I'm already to day 3 of life... I think I have a long way to go!! Anyway, regardless of how much I have ahead of me, I have really been enjoying putting these pages together. I always considered scrapbooking as therapuetic, it's a way for me to escape the stresses of life. But for the first time I am realizing why I do it. It's really helped me be able to focus and accept what our family went through after Tristan was born. It's been a time for me to reflect and even, late some nites, shed a few tears because of the memories it brings back. I'm so excited to have all these pages for her from this time in her life. She'll never fully know how much stronger it has made the family around her.

Oldies but Goodies

So, some of you may know that my external hard drive took a turn for the worse some time ago. I thought it was my junky computer, but unfortunately it was the hard drive. The drive that housed the last 5 years of my digital pictures. So as of now, I no longer have any of that data (what a blessing it is that I am obsessed with scrapbooking) It is currently being operated on by a team of professionals (TJ's friends). Until then TJ discovered these pics that were on his computer, some of which were taken on my palm pilot from forever ago, so I thought I would share!

Baby Thing #1 (M)-- age 8 months old, sitting in the sink in the bathroom at church. She was totally entertained by it!

Thing #1 (M)-- And I do love the scrunchy face...

Thing #2 (B)-- I mean, everbody looks great this close, right?

This is me... (go figure!) Spring/Summer-ish 2007... not quite sure.

Bored to Tears

Yep, it's true.... I'm that bored. I mean, I could probably find something to do, like clean my house, or catch up on something, but to do any of that it would require an initial amount of energy to start... which I'm not willing to put forth today, maybe after a shower. Anyhoo... I havcn't posted in a few weeks, and I just wanted anyone that follows this blog to know that I am still alive... just alive and bored!

So now nobody has to feel left out of my loop... you can all rest easy now knowing that I am extremely bored. Have a good one!

The month of Hearts

You know, you never realize a problem in life until it hits close to home. I never would have thought I would have a baby with a heart defect, and in turn know so much more about it. It's truly amazing how many kids are born with these defects some go undetected, some are found and treated right away, and some are very severe.

More than anything it's a time for me to reflect how blessed we are to have our beautuful little girl here with us, with our family. I'm so grateful to all the doctors that helped treat her and for the support and love we got from our family and friends. So, this is my solute to Tristan and all she has gone through, and for all the other moms and dads out there who have gone through the same thing, or will in the future. What a special time to celebrate the heart, Tristan truly has mine!
