Failed to mention....

I did fail to mention in my world of "nothings" that: Tristan rolled over last week! She's still in the accidental stage, you know, she hasn't figure out that she can consistently do it to get her places and things. Actually, she's not real interested in things, so I don't think she cares to GET to them.

Anyway, I had been a tad bit concerned about her development at her check up... they say that heart babies can have a tendency to be behind, not to mention that she was in the hospital for so long. Anyway, the doc reassured me that I shouldn't be worried, she was hardly 4 months yet, and she wasn't behind at all. So, much to my surprise, it seems as though she's "on schedule" for her rolling over!

Princess Eggs

These ARE our eggs, that's why there's only 10-ish of 'em... because I couldn't handle cying eggs for any longer than it took to do this many! Plus... what are you supposed to do with all those colerful, stinky eggs afterward? Eat them or something? You gotta be joking me.... I'll decorate, someone else can eat. Ugh!

Madison and her fairy tale wonderment of an egg. I mean, if you're going to decorate eggs in the house of princesses... they better follow suit and dress for the occasion!

And of course a princess egg after her own heart... a little miss Texan! All she needs now is a few rhinestones!

Seriously though, the girls had the best time playing with eggs today. We had an egg hunt in the backyard for them, and when we let them loose they jsut ran around hooting, "huh, huh huh, huh" They were so excited they couldn't say anything and they couldn't even laugh right, they had a blast. And of course the egg dying thing was like magic to their little eyes. They have never beheld such a wonderment in all their days, it was so fun. (you know, a tad bit frustrating, but the end result is still fun!)

Oh the repitition!

How in the world do so many of you find new things to post about.....? I find that everyday seems oddly similar to the day previous.... So I rarely have something interesting to tell. I mean, would you likve to know that Tristan had her 4-month check-up and she is now weighing 14 lbs? Or would you rather know that I nearly lost the little thread of sanity I had left hauling all 3 of them to the doctor's visit? Or would you rather know that it was our first visit to the new pediatrician and after they showed us to our room the billing lady came back in and blately said they will no longer be able to see Tristan at their clinic.... she proceeded to tell me why, as it was an issue with Tristan currently having medicaid and they won't accept it. Or would you rather hear about how rude they were to me after the discovery of the medicaid issue? ..... It seems there's nothing interesting to share.

I could bore you with our day-to-day frustrations of being a mom of 3 small children who never seem to stop crying, whining, or asking for things. I could explain the woes of our new at-home-preschool-adventure, which the kids seem to think is great, and I think I have lost hair since we started.

I guess I could tell you how cute they are that they have finally discovered an interest in dressing themselves. So they will come out wearing the most absurd items, of which cannot be changed, because they decided on it, even if it is a million degress outside and they are wearing a turtleneck.

Yes, it seems as though there is nothing to tell right now. So you'll have to check back again... I'd suggest waiting until something interesting happens...!

How many...

Joke: How many parents does it take to put two kids to bed?
Punch Line: (fill in if you have a good one)

Seriously though... we've been at this going to bed thing for over two hours now. They finally had their nose on the wall long enough that they were begging to go to bed... so it's finally worked.

And since it's late and the kids are finally quiet and I have nothing better to write, but need to put something new up to match my new blog decor, I think I will start with this "TAG".....

Two names you go by: Mom, Ashley

Two things you are wearing right now: Jeans, a belt

Two things you want very badly at the moment: To sleep and to scrapbook (if only I could figure a way to do them both at the same time!)

Two favorite pets you have had/have: Ew. I can't even name two... I hate animals. I did have a cat named Rambo, and well, he was pretty cool.

Two things you did last night: Went to a baby shower, over-cooked the alfredo sauce

Two things you ate today: A panini, Martinelli's Sparkling cider

Two people you last talked to: Mom, TJ

Two things you're doing tomorrow: Getting the big girls' hair cut, buying some home project supplies

Two longest car rides: San Antonio to Denver, and Denver to San Antonio.... Well, we had to come back!

Two favorite beverages: Pepsi, and Pepsi... hey it asked for my favorite!

Phantom

So last night was the night that we went and saw Phantom of the Opera, it was fantastic! We enjoyed the show very much. We also enjoyed being away from the kids very much! Our seats... we rated them an 8 out of 10, had we been like 5 ros closer, it would have been that much better. And had the guy next to me not been downing the champagne all nite, my experience would have been a little better, and a little less alcohol smelling, oh well! There was a lady behind us that had a choughing attach during the last 30 minutes, I pretty sure she got a glare from everyone in the theatre, I don't know why she didn't jsut go get a drink or something!

Anyway, it was so much fun, I would love to see it again, and again and again.... We looked at prices for season passes to the theatre.... which might actually be pretty fun, we'll see how that works out though. So here's a pic from before we left, our babysitter took it for us, she probably thought I was an idiot making her take a picture of us. Oh well. Anyway, it was a fantastic evening.
