Guess Who?

Alright, it was high time I posted the "Baby Guess". So here goes... there are 4 babies, one of which is... I'll give it away... Myself. The other three are my darling princesses. So, go on and guess who is who. Heres some advice...
To be fair, I scanned ALL the images, evened out the scratchiness of them, and desaturated the color. Guess away!

Who looks like who? Can you tell that we are all related or are there obvious differences?

Sprinkler Girls

Just a random selection from our sprinkler day this last week. There are lots more to see in our web album. They got to play with water balloons, and I got to play with my pictures... everyone has a good time. My girls are actually more enthused when we get ALL the stuff out to play int he sprinkler, but then they just wanted to sit down and have a snack! They are all about the eating pat of activities!

Yes, she totally had that water ballon stuck in her mass of hair!

Exploring new lands

Tristan has been army crawl-scooting for probably over a month now. And she's slowly been moving further and further around the family room. But today she heard me doing the dishes and she ventured on in to find me! Here she is slowly emerging around the cabinet from the family room, and then as I was taking pictures of her, she was quite happy!

She's not all so fast, but I definitely lose track of her when I leave the room for too long!

Sunday Dresses

Here are all three girls (amazingly in the SAME picture!) I grabbed this as we were hustling to get out the door to church yesterday. It's amazing that even though we wait around ALL day for church to start... we are still usually late!

Anyway, this is a new dress for Tristan (size 6-9 months already!-or finally?) And I totally loved the dress, so here's my attempt at being on top of the clothing pictures, so I don't ahve to get emotional over it all!

Oldie but goodie

Beach Boys - Long tall texan
Video sent by Salut-les-copains

I totally love the Beach Boys, and I love this song! It kind of fits for where I live now! I had forgotten about it, until my little sis asked me about it.

So, in case you want to know, when we were kids, we would crank this up and dance to it, pretending that the broomstick was our horse. Totally one of the Beach Boys BEST songs, that most people have never even heard!

7 1/2 months

Seriously, why do babies have to be so cute? I LOVE babies... as for growing toddlers and preschoolers... well they are fun too, but I would much rather just have a whole slew of babies forever!

I snapped those today, because I've been feeling like I and all the rest of you that don't get to see Tristan are missing her grow up. Why do the first few months have to be so monumental? Why can't they slow down their learning and growing a little bit and give us all some more time with them? I've also been feeling extra sentimental about the clothes that I don't get a picture of her wearing, so my new goal is to try and take a picture in plenty of outfits, so I don't feel like I missed out. Even if the picture isn't all set up, that's my new goal!
(oh yeah, don't you just love my wrinkled backdrops? Why kind of professional keeps these things wadded up in the corner....? Whatever, if I wasn't so lazy I could have fixed it, for now it'll be fine, I'll fix it in PS!)
--Oh yeah, and in case anyone was wondering, I do believe we are feeling better around here. Hasn't stopped Tristan from being cranky, but at least she's not running a fever anymore. So maybe we're out of the woods on being sick for awhile!--

End. Never...

we have had sick at our house and it seems as though it will never end. I have been sick off and on for the last two-ish weeks, and now... it seems like everyone else might have got it too. We met up with Daddy for lunch today, which was such a fun playdate for the girls. We ended up staying of course forever, since they like to play while I read my most current Scrapbooking magazine. Then once we got home and I went to get Tristan out of the car, I saw that she had tossed her "bananas and plums" all over herself, carseat and car door... EW! Poor little girl had a fever and was covered in... yuckies... we'll just call it that (for the light-stomached few!)

So, after washing her all up, she's now resting peacefully in bed, but probably feels pretty under the weather. I jsut wish it would all go away, and stay away for awhile! And of you know she was wearing a brand new outfit... of course, why throw up on anything old or ugly?!!

So, that's the latest at our house. Good thing is that we can't spread germs through blogging, so you can still read up on us --it's safe.

Why isn't my house clean?

Well, here's the reason: This is what I've been up to lately. I've been wanting to try making some candy sushi for awhile now and so I finally bought the stuff to make them last nite. I thought they looked alright for a 10 minute effort. I think if I were to hunt down some better supplies, they could look even better. I mean, I couldn't even find swedish fish last nite... how "sushi-like" is that? The girls thought they looked pretty cool, but didn't really want to have anything to do with eating them. So maybe they aren't really a kid-friendly cupcake...

Here is a dress I made for Tristan: I had seen these being sold online and figured I would try my hand at making one. Apparently they are dresses made out of pillow cases... I looked for cute pillow cases, but they were all sold only with the whole bedroom set. Lucky for me, if I'm going to figure out how to sew a dress, I DO know how to sew a pillow case. So I got out some old fabric fromt he stash and zipped up a travel-sized pillow case, only to cut it back apart.... whatever, it looks cute in the end, right? I still need to make some spankies to go underneath, I have a feeling those are going to be harder than the dress was!

finally got a 12x12 frame to house my latest scrapbook page, which I am pleased about. Also, I am pleased with this page because it's one of VERY FEW that actually have my own hand writing on it. I jsut absolutely adored someone else's page done similar so I had to hand write mine also! I love those girls, they do and say the silliest things, but that's part of what makes them so cute!

I stumbled upon this wooden beauty in Michaels one day. and I am so happy with the way it turned out covered with paper. I only have to buy 1 sheet of paper to cover the whole thing too, that's great! and those stringy looking flowers I was able to cut out on my Pazzle, so I loved that even more! Now I get to hang this wonderful addition in my scrapbook room so clip little do-dads or photos onto. Love it.

Alright, so now if you come to my house and it is in complete diarray, don't wonder why, just ask to see my latest projects!

One more project....

Is there like a limit to the pictures or something? Whatever.

I know that you have all probably seen these pictures before, but I finally got some printed and actually hung on the wall!! These are some old frames I had that were actually a nice cherry color, but matched NOTHING I have, so I decided to sand them and paint them black to match my other frames and accessories. I just did the two larger ones, they are 11x14. I'm very happy with the way they turned out. So, in the future when looking at garage sales or thrift shops if it's wood, it doesn't have to be exactly what you want, because you can always strip it and paint it to how you want it! I love it.

Smokin' Hot

Since we moved to the Lone Star State, TJ has gained a new hobby of sorts. He is truly obsessed with BBQ. It started off small, and has grown increasingly since. This past weekend he smoked pork for the whole ward. Man, I haven't seen this guy smile as much as he did handing out pork sandwiches to 150+ people. It truly brought him great joy.

So, I think this little hobby of his is about to get bigger. He's been talking about getting a new smoker, something that we wouldn't have to ratchet tie to the Tahoe to pull it to the park ;)

I know he wants something big, I just hope it's not this big:

Alright, it probably won't be THAT big, but can you imagine how much meat that baby would smoke... WOO-EEE! That's a lot of BBQ!

Anyway, I'm glad to see he has such a fun hobby, and it's great for me, because I get to scrumptiously eat his hobby after he's slaved over it for 18 hours!
